Biography

1988年　北海道北見市生まれ。現在、北海道札幌市在住。

武蔵野美術大学（通信課程）油絵学科絵画コース卒業。

美大の通信課程在籍中休学含む約9年間の傍ら接客業を主に様々な業種に

従事しながら祖母の介護と発表活動を重ねる。

2015年から文具画材店に勤務、画業と兼業、2023年に退職しアーティスト活動に専任。

油彩によるペインティングと箔などを使用しながら象徴性も帯びた独自のイラストテイストな

絵画作品を制作。昨今は主に人物の他にハートマークや虹のような多色もモチーフとして

使いながら多角的な視点で愛や多様性を描いている。

〈愛と多様性について〉

私は以前から人に対して対面やネット社会両方から互いを受け入れる

難しさに失望と諦めきれない希望を、失恋と片思いを繰り返すように

執着や愛情に近いものを感じてきました。

誰しも簡単には言い表せない複雑で多様な価値観や個性、生き方、歴史があり

それらは違う人間だからこそ視線や言葉を重ねても全て捉えきるのは

不可能だといえます。これも原因のひとつとして争いがなくならないのも現実です。

それでも昨今の現代社会の多様性における取り組みの変化から

「知る、受け入れ合う」という愛のカタチに私なりの強い関心を抱いています。

制作過程において肉眼で見える姿と見えない領域の間を埋めるように

色を薄く厚くを繰り返し置き重ねる筆致にすることで、

形象に対して表面的バイアスがかからないよう重厚な画面且つ

生きた存在感が立ち現れるような絵画として生成されています。

それらは平等で重要な個として平滑な画面の中で息づいています。

私の作品から鑑賞者のまなざしで、多様な不可視の存在を映し出すことで

共感のみにとどまらず理解や内省を呼び起こす契機となれたら幸いです。

2026.02 佐々木ゆか

Born in Kitami, Hokkaido in 1988.

Currently resides in Sapporo, Hokkaido.

Graduated from Musashino Art University (correspondence course), Department of Oil Painting.

While enrolled in the art school's correspondence course, including a leave of absence, for approximately nine years, she worked primarily in the customer service industry, in various industries, while caring for her grandmother and exhibiting her work.

Since 2015, she has worked at a stationery and art supply store, working part-time as an artist.

She plans to retire in 2023 to focus full-time on her artistic career.

Using oil paintings and foil, she creates paintings with a unique, symbolic, illustrative style. Recently, in addition to people, she has also used heart marks and rainbow-like multicolor motifs to depict love and diversity from a multifaceted perspective.

〈On Love and Diversity〉

I have long felt a sense of attachment or affection toward people, both in person and online, as if experiencing repeated cycles of disappointment, hope, and heartbreak, as well as unrequited love and heartbreak.

Everyone has complex and diverse values, personalities, lifestyles, and histories that are difficult to put into words.

Because we are all so different, it is impossible to fully grasp them all, even with our shared gazes and words. This is also one of the reasons why conflict never ends.

Still, given the recent changes in modern society's approach to diversity,

I have developed a strong interest in the form of love that "knows and accepts."

In my creative process, I apply color repeatedly, thin and thick, to bridge the gap between what is visible to the naked eye and what is invisible.

By repeatedly layering thin and thick layers of color,

I create paintings that are rich in texture and avoid any superficial bias,

creating paintings that evoke a living presence.

They live on the flat surface as equally important individuals.

By projecting diverse invisible presences through the viewer's gaze, my work hopes to inspire not only empathy but also understanding and introspection.
